Chayanne

Chayanne, born Elmer Figueroa Arce on June 28, 1968, in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, is a globally recognized Latin pop singer, dancer, and actor whose career spans nearly five decades. He began his professional journey at the age of 10 as a member of the boy band Los Chicos, before launching his solo career in the mid-1980s.

His breakthrough came with the 1987 album Chayanne, which featured the high-energy hit “Fiesta en América.” He followed it up with more chart-toppers like “Tu Pirata Soy Yo”, “Este Ritmo Se Baila Así”, and “Fuiste un Trozo de Hielo en la Escarcha.” Known for his dynamic stage presence and emotional delivery, Chayanne quickly became one of the most beloved figures in Latin pop.

Over the years, he has released more than 20 studio albums and sold over 30 million records worldwide. His signature sound blends Latin pop, romantic ballads, tropical rhythms, and dance-pop, with iconic songs like “Completamente Enamorados,” “Dejaría Todo,” “Torero,” “Un Siglo Sin Ti,” and “Si Nos Quedara Poco Tiempo.”

Chayanne has been nominated for both Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards and has received numerous honors throughout

his career, including Billboard and MTV awards, as well as international recognition for his contributions to Latin music.
