Luis Fonsi

Luis Fonsi, born Luis Alfonso Rodríguez López-Cepero on April 15, 1978, in San Juan,Puerto Rico, is a globally recognized Latin pop artist, balladeer, andsongwriter. He began singing at a young age and later relocated to Orlando,Florida, where he joined school choirs and earned a full scholarship to studymusic at Florida State University. His classical training and natural vocaltalent laid the foundation for a career that would bridge romantic ballads andworldwide pop stardom.

Fonsi released his debut album Comenzaré in 1998, which included the hit “Si Tú Quisieras.” His early success in Latin America establishedhim as one of the leading voices in Latin pop and romantic ballads, with lateralbums like Amor Secreto, Abrazar la Vida, and Paso a Paso producing hits such as “Imagíname Sin Ti” and “No Me Doy por Vencido.”

While he was long recognized for his ballads, his globalbreakout came in 2017 with the release of “Despacito”featuring Daddy Yankee.
